In 1956, a gallon on gas was only 19.9 cents when George Dodd took over the Texaco station that would form the beginnings of the family business. George had a gift for dealing with people, and customers just naturally sensed that this was a man they could trust. He worked hard to build a reputation for honesty and fairness as he expanded into used car sales and eventually RV’s.
In January 2001, George’s children, Jamie Dodd, Jennifer Moore and Susie Shiflet, assumed the business operation at Dodd RV. In June of 2004, they expanded the family business by opening a second location in Newport News, VA. Building upon the lessons they learned from their father, Jamie, Jennifer, Susie and the Dodd RV Team are working hard to make Dodd RV the preferred RV dealer in Southeastern Virginia and Northeastern Carolina.
